The town has been abandoned for too long. Far too long. It's been quite a few years since you left; too many horrible memories.
But you couldn't put this off any longer. You needed to pick up the very last of your belongings from your old house so getting over your pride and fear is the only option. Don't be a coward this time.

[[Pick up your stuff]]

It's really only a few trinkets.

Well, at least to anyone else. But this was your childhood.
It really wasn't always this bad. Even when all the strange happenings had begun you were still just a child with an active imagination. Sometimes too active. But even when all the adults around you panicked, talking to each other in hushed voices, looking around to make sure no one could hear them, you still managed to have a fun in your little kid brain. if only it could've stayed that way...

[[Leave]]
Well that wasn't so difficult now was it? You're still alive.

You make your way back to your car, a bit distracted as you silently congratulate yourself for this accomplishment. Just as you're about to open your door you hear a faint scream out in the distance.
You look around trying to locate the source, praying it isn't what you think it is.
And then you hear it again and your heart drops. It's coming from the hospital.
The allegedly //abandoned// hospital. You always suspected that the hospital kept running even after everyone left the town but hearing the confirmation did not give you the least bit satisfaction.

[[Check it out]]
[[Run. Go away as fast as you can.]]
After taking a deep breath you step away from your car and start walking towards the hospital. It takes all your willpower not to turn and run but you manage to hold yourself together.
As you make your way there you look around town with mixture of nostalgia and curiosity. It was never a beautiful town to begin with but it was habitable and it was home. After being abandoned for so long, nature had begun to claim back its land: vines snaked up the buildings and the grass came up all the way to your waist. It was almost beautiful.

[[The forest]]
You run. You run like the coward you are and always have been. You've never once been praised for your bravery and today is no different.

You manage to leave the town and most of the horrible memories behind but a part of you will never be satisfied. You will always deep down wonder what would've happened if you had stayed behind and just checked out the screams.
You attempt to fill that void in your life by being an overachiever, hoping that by making others proud you can eventually feel complete but you never succeed.
And when you are old and finally ready to die that is the one and only regret in your life: one that you can never undo.

[[Make the right choice->Leave]]
And the forest.......

For as long as you can remember it has been completely off-limits to the general public. Apparently one too many kids went missing in there back in the 80's. There used to be a few people in charge of occasionally checking up on it, cutting off some trees and trimming the grass but without such maintance, the forest had all the freedom to grow and flourish.
Your small moment of admiration is ruined when you remember the task at hand.
//The hospital//
You make a right turn a continue walking until you reach the parking lot of the hospital.

[[Proceed]]
Finally you get to the hospital. It certainly //looked// abandoned: nature certainly didn't spare this building.
After a few minutes of hesitation and absolute terror you finally open the door to the hosital (how you didn't find it weird that it wasn't locked is a bit questionable but whatever) and step inside. Of course, the door closes and locks immediately after.

''You are now trapped inside the hospital. Find your way back out.''
